MB Ivy Nails Reviews

Seems like there’s only one manicurist who knows what she’s doing. Three times I went to get my nails done and three times the manicurists I was sitting with needed help from one particular manicurist. The first time I went the girl didn’t know how to file and shape the almond nails I wanted so she called over the manicurist to help. She also didn’t do the acrylic tips correctly and as they grew out, there was a gap between my nail and the tip on 8 of my nails. I2 weeks later I went back for a fill in and to correct the tip issue and again the other manicurist had to show her how to correctly do the tips. I spent over 4 hours in the salon as she had to remove and correct each nail. The last time I sat with a different girl who did the fill in correctly and didn’t need help with shaping, however I asked for cat eye polish and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She showed me a color close to it and I agreed. Again, she don’t not know how to do the cat eye and called the other manicurist over to help. Even as the experienced manicurist is explaining the process on how to do the cat eye she is proceeding with just layering polish on my nails without listening to instructions and still got it wrong. I was there 2 hours at this point and was frustrated to the point that I didn’t even want her to fix it. It looked nothing like the pic I showed her and she did it all wrong. I won’t be going back. The first pic is what I got and the second is what I wanted. They don’t look anything like the pic.

I had a fine time at the salon. I got exactly what I paid for a gel mani and pedi with a very simple design

Mildred took 1.5 hours to give me a regular gel manicure. You would think with that amount of time the manicure would've been perfect, but the end result is so disappointing (see image below) I've gotten manicures and tips here in the past. The tips never last more than 5-7 days and the Gel manicures are the same. Very disappointed every time I go, not sure why I keep going back to be honest.

The customer service that I received in this salon was terrible. I got a manicure and didn’t want them to charge my card extra to tip (for every $5 you tip, they charge your card an extra $1) on my card so I told her I could come back with a cash tip. The owner then proceeded to point at the woman who did my nails and told me to “tell her.” I declined to follow the her instruction to which she refused to swipe my card so that I could leave. The conversation escalated to which I demanded that she charged my card so that I could leave. She finally charged my card and said, “I hate when people do this.” Then I was followed out into the parking lot by both of the women and stared at as I drove away. I will not be returning to leave a tip or ever get their service again. Later that day my gel manicure also began to bubble up which is something I’ve never had happen. Overall extremely poor service and quality at this nail salon. Save yourself the time and go somewhere with better reviews.
